Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, has been released from the Ilaro Correctional Centre after his bail conditions were met. Portable was remanded in the facility on Monday after he failed to meet the bail conditions set by an Ifo Magistrate Court. He was arraigned on two different charges, which bothered on stealing and assault.
The presiding magistrate granted the accused bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties for the case on stealing and N500,000 with two sureties for the case on assault. The court ruled that the defendant be transferred to the Ilaro Correctional Centre until his bail conditions were met.
Portable was released after his bail bond was presented to the facility at about 6 pm on Monday. The cases were adjourned until April 26 for the commencement of the trial.
