The former Governor ofย Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, has been rumored to have defected to Labour Party, LP, to fly his flag in the 2023 governorship election.
Supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, have expressed joy over the reports claiming former Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has joined the party.
Checks however revealed that the reports are false and that the former governor is still an active member of the APC in the state.
The prospect of Ambode joining the Labour Party has since sparked reactions by a cross-section of Nigerians On Twitter.
