Newborn Baby Seen Holding Contraceptive That Failed To Stop His Pregnancy [PHOTOS]

Our world is indeed replete with wonders, the latest of which is the bizarre case of a newborn baby holding his mother’s contraceptive device.

Pictures appear to show the infant holding his mother’s yellow and black intrauterine device in hand at Hai Phong International Hospital in the city of Hai Phong, Northern Vietnam.

It was revealed by an obstetrician, Tran Viet Phuong, that the device had come out with the baby when he was born as pictures show the infant holding the contraceptive firmly in his hand.

Dr. Phuong while speaking with the local media, said:

After delivery, I thought him holding the device was interesting, so I took a picture. I never thought it would receive so much attention.”

The baby’s 34-year-old mother claims she had the coil inserted two years ago but it failed to work as she later discovered that she was pregnant.

Dr. Phuong stated that the device may have been moved from its original position, becoming an ineffective form of contraceptive and allowing the mother to become pregnant.
