Debo Adebayo popularly known as Mr Macaroni, an Instagram comedian in a video obtained by TalkGlitz confronted some armed policemen for extorting money from a young man.
Mr Macaroni who is renowned for his involvement in the EndSAR protest couldn’t take his eyes off the extortion he witnessed while driving in Lagos.
In the video footage obtained from his Iive broadcast on Instagram, Mr Macaroni had parked his car on sighting some officers gathering around the young fellow. He stepped into the situation and inquired what the matter was.
The victim (name not known yet) explained that the police stopped him and threatened to take him to the station for no offence. He was forced to transfer a sum of N80,000 (eighty thousand naira) to one of the officers. He also provided the receipt on his phone.
Mr Macaroni was aggravated by the attitude of one of the police officers and he was not having it. He demanded an explanation – what the money was meant for.
