A lady has been arrested and paraded for stealing a plasma TV belonging to Kevleyn Hotel in Delta State.
The young lady, whose name is Laurenta, committed the said crime with the help of her boyfriend. The accomplice had been seen leaving the hotel with a ‘Ghana Must Go Bag’ (which had the TV inside).
Laurenta had tricked the receptionist’s guard by claiming that her boyfriend was retaining the hotel room. It was learned that the boyfriend also stole a towel, umbrella, and key from the hotel.
Luck ran out on Laurenta when she was traced to her sister’s house, where she had been disgraced earlier for stealing N800,000 from a guy she slept with. She had barely escaped imprisonment when the matter was taken to court.
Laurenta was dragged back to the hotel where she reportedly confessed to the crime, saying that she used the TV to obtain a loan of N5,000. The TV has been recovered from the people who loaned her the money.
