Returning and new actors set to feature in expanded storyline exploring Nigerian history and international connections
The new season, which Afolayan will once again direct, promises to delve deeper into significant aspects of Nigeria’s past, including the complex and painful history of the transatlantic slave trade. The storyline will not only focus on the Oyo Empire but will also incorporate international elements, bringing actors from Portugal and Ghana into the mix, alongside the Nigerian cast.
Filming for this much-anticipated season took place in Oyo State and parts of Ghana, giving the series an authentic backdrop that is deeply connected to the historical and cultural themes explored in the narrative.
