As of now, Ye is no longer a billionaire following his split from Adidas.

TalkGlitz reported that the controversy surrounding his personal finances first started following Forbes’s publication on October 25, which reported that he is no longer a billionaire as his deal with the German athletic wear company has been terminated.

Earlier this month, Adidas clarified that it was in discussion with Kanye West about the status of their collaboration after West made a comment on an episode of the “Drink Champs” podcast. In his comment, West said that he could say antisemitic things without being dropped by Adidas. In his words; “the thing about it being Adidas is, like, I can literally say antisemitic shit and they can’t drop me. I can antisemitic things and Adidas can’t drop me. Now what?”

Forbes reported that the rapper-cum-fashion entrepreneur’s multi-year partnership with Adidas was valued at $1.5 billion and without it, he’s now worth just $400 million.

In the past, when Forbes put his net worth at $ 1 billion in 2020, he challenged their evaluation and refused to appear on their list until they updated it. Albeit, he may still dispute Forbes’ evaluation of his net worth as he did in the past.

The controversial rapper responded saying, “it is $3.3 billion since no one at Forbes knows how to count.”

Fashion designer Balenciaga has pulled their endorsement of Kanye West after his statements in support of Donald Trump. Other brands who have ended their collaborations with Ye are MRC and Creative Artists Agency.

Gap has also cut off its longstanding relationship with Kanye West after the rapper was accused of coming across as anti-semitism. The company has declared that new Yeezy products will not be stocked on shelves, and closed West’s original Yeezy GAP store online.
