In an exclusive interview with popular media personality Tacha on Cool FM, Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck made a surprising revelation.
The talented artist expressed his desire to capture the attention of Elon Musk, the renowned billionaire founder of Tesla Inc., through his next music release.
During the chat, Odumodublvck candidly opened up about his previous hit track, “Picanto,” which derives its name from a popular automobile brand.
Despite the song’s immense popularity, the rapper revealed that he did not receive any special recognition or rewards for his musical prowess from the automaker, Kia.
Yearning for a remarkable twist of fate, the rapper expressed his hopes that Elon Musk would gift both him and his collaborator, Blaqbonez, a Tesla vehicle each. Odumodublvck firmly believes that such a gesture would be inconsequential to the billionaire entrepreneur given his vast wealth.
“There is one song me and Blaqbonez were meant to put on our tape. People have been waiting for that song. It is a Starboy, a maza. Like I do not know how I am going to do it, but I have to get to Elon Musk,” he said.
“I am sorry to Kia because they did not give me anything for ‘Picanto’. Imagine if Elon Musk could give me and Blaq one Tesla each. It is nothing to him.”
Born Tochukwu Ojogwu, Odumodublvck has made a name for himself with his mesmerizing stage performances and genre-blending musical style. In 2022, he inked a record deal with NATIVE Records, in collaboration with the esteemed Def Jam Recordings.
The talented artist’s debut single, “Picanto,” released that same year features guest appearances from ECko Miles and Zlatan. The track quickly became a fan favorite, captivating audiences with its infectious beats and catchy lyrics.
Moreover, Odumodublvck also attained remarkable success with his chart-topping single titled “Declan Rice,” paying homage to the esteemed English footballer.
Notably, Arsenal Football Club unveiled Declan Rice as their new signing last Saturday, with the hit song serving as the background anthem for the momentous occasion.
