Media personality, Daddy Freeze said there is no blessing in giving your rich parents money because there are no blessings attached to it.
He took to his Instagram page to state that it was only a blessing to give parents money only when one’s parents are poor.
He disclosed that he has never given his mother money before because she has a successful career and her own money.
He called on parents not to be entitled to their children’s money as the Bible’s commandments did not stretch that far.
He recounted how his mother once returned the money to a politician after the money was dropped off for her, by her personal assistant.
He wrote, “Honor your father and mother means hold them in high esteem and respect them. Nigerians need to stop monetizing scripture. Let’s differentiate between money and honor. There are many people I give money to that I don’t honor and there are people I have never given a penny to and I honor. If your parents are needy by all means take care of them, but if your parents are wealthy you can’t ‘honor’ them with money; instead give to the poor and be blessed. ~FRZ”
