Gypsy Rose Blanchard Offers Advice to Menendez Brothers Amid Possible Case Review
The Menendez brothers and their parents

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who gained national attention after being sentenced for the murder of her abusive mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, has shared her thoughts on the Menendez Brothers and their ongoing case review. Speaking at LAX on Sunday, Gypsy offered advice to Erik and Lyle Menendez, who are serving life sentences for the 1989 murder of their parents, José and Kitty Menendez. Their case has resurfaced due to new evidence supporting claims that their father sexually abused them.

While Gypsy admitted she isn’t deeply familiar with all the details of the Menendez case, she expressed solidarity with abuse victims. “I stand for all victims of abuse,” she said, emphasizing the need for stronger advocacy and prison reform for those who have suffered trauma.

The Menendez case is currently under review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office after a member of the 1980s band Menudo accused José Menendez of sexual abuse, echoing similar accusations made by Erik and Lyle. The D.A.’s office is expected to decide soon whether the brothers deserve a new trial or a reduced sentence.

When asked about reality star Kim Kardashian’s support for the Menendez brothers, Gypsy praised her, calling Kardashian “a wise woman” and lauding her efforts in prison reform.

As for her advice to the Menendez brothers if they are released, Gypsy emphasized how much the world has changed, saying it can be hard to adjust. She strongly recommended therapy as a crucial tool for reintegration into society.
