During the interview, Fireboy, an admirer of the “La Isla Bonita” artist, shared insights into this unique experience, indicating the significance it held for him.
“I’m not going to say everything but I went on a date with Madonna and I would honestly say that it was the most memorable date I’ve been on,” he expressed, radiating joy.
Fireboy portrayed the famed singer as both “weird and funny,” openly expressing his affection for her. He highlighted the importance of collaborating with Madonna, labeling it a career milestone. “That is one of the highlights of my career. Having a song with Madonna is really something to be proud of because that’s the queen of pop,” he stated.
In early 2022, speculation about their professional collaboration began to spread on social media platforms after images surfaced showing Fireboy and the legendary Madonna together, both dressed in dark attire. Following this, in March, they unveiled their joint rendition of Madonna’s classic hit, “Frozen,” initially released in 1998 as part of her “Ray of Light” album.
Fireboy opened up about how their connection started, revealing that Madonna reached out to him first.
“She sent me a DM on Instagram and told me that she was a fan, and that she loved the most unlikely song on my debut album,” the 28-year-old artist shared.
