Incheon, South Korea – In a shocking case of child abuse, a 33-year-old father was apprehended on Monday after allegedly inflicting a severe brain injury upon his 2-month-old baby by violently shaking him. The suspect’s identity has been withheld for legal reasons. The Incheon District Court swiftly issued an arrest warrant against the man, expressing concerns that he might attempt to flee.
According to law enforcement authorities, the incident took place earlier this month at their residence in Incheon, located approximately 27 kilometers west of Seoul. Disturbingly, during questioning, the accused confessed to forcefully shaking the baby while cradling him in his arms, leading to the baby’s critical condition.
As a consequence of the violent shaking, the 2-month-old infant suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and a fractured rib. Currently, the child is receiving intensive medical care at a local hospital, where doctors are working tirelessly to address the grave injuries inflicted upon him.
