In the recently concluded Lagos State gubernatorial elections, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), emerged victorious at the polling unit of Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party. The polling unit is located in Anifowoshe, within the Ikeja Local Government Area.

According to the official results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Sanwo-Olu secured 29 votes, which was the highest number of votes cast at the polling unit. Rhodes-Vivour, on the other hand, received 18 votes, which was lower than Sanwo-Olu’s vote count.

Olajide Adediran, who was the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), came in third place with only two votes.

The Lagos State Governorship election was keenly contested by various political parties, but Sanwo-Olu’s victory at Rhodes-Vivour’s polling unit is a testament to the widespread support he enjoys among the electorate in the state.

It is important to note that the election was conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner, with security agencies maintaining law and order at all polling units. INEC officials also conducted the exercise with utmost professionalism, ensuring that the results accurately reflected the choices of the voters.
