Drake Bell, the actor best known for his role in Nickelodeon’s “Drake & Josh,” has been located and is safe, according to law enforcement sources.
TMZ reports that the police have been in touch with the actor, although the details of his whereabouts and the reasons for the initial concern remain unclear.
Earlier, Daytona Beach police had declared Bell missing and endangered. He was last seen driving a 2022 grey BMW near Mainland High School on Wednesday at around 9 PM. While some online speculated that the situation might be a hoax, authorities confirmed its legitimacy.
In a recent update, it was discovered that Bell had been with his son at SeaWorld in Orlando on Tuesday. A witness at the park who approached the actor to express his admiration said that Bell appeared to be in good spirits, describing him as “nice and soft-spoken.”
Bell has faced several controversies since his time on the popular Nickelodeon show. He recently completed probation after pleading guilty to an attempted child endangerment case, which involved inappropriate conduct with a minor at a club where he was scheduled to perform. The actor has also dealt with a 2015 DUI arrest and abuse allegations by a woman with whom he had a five-year relationship. In addition, Bell filed for bankruptcy in 2014.
As Bell has now been found safe, the Daytona Beach Police Department is no longer seeking information about his whereabouts.
