The ‘People’s Champion’, who was known for the words “If you smell … what The Rock is cooking!”, was last seen on Smackdown in 2013 as he has retired professionally from wrestling. He has made several appearances in the WWE however, most recently in the Wrestlemania event in 2016.
The October 4 debut broadcast will be preceded by a 30-minute ‘Blue Carpet’ Special which will start at 7.30 pm ET and will play host to the arrival of celebrities and athletes as well as past and present WWE superstars. It will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
