This record has generated a lot of conversations and hype from the Wizkid fanbase also known as Wizkid FC.
A few reactions:
Essence blew up organically.
Ginger, No Stress & Smile was pushed more than Essence was.
The only PR Wizkid did for Essence was tweeting “Tems & I created magic” that’s all.

Looks like Wizkid got song of the summer 8-9 months after the track dropped. Replay value? New fans? Either way, keep blasting that joint. Perfect for the summer
