Former U.S. President Barack Obama is a man who loves music and from time to time releases his playlists, which features artists from different genres. His latest has been revealed and Nigeria’s Wizkid is among the lineup of musicians.
In the 2020 playlist, Wizkid’s song Smile (featuring H.E.R.) is included, along with other prominent singers like Billie Eilish, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Megan Thee Stallion, Rihanna, and Bob Marley.
What this means is that Obama certainly knows and appreciates good music, selecting some of the best in the business as his favorites for the year.
Last year, budding Nigerian star Rema made it on the list and it only increased his popularity on the foreign scene. With the inclusion of Wizkid this year, it could only mean that Nigerian artists are really taking their music beyond the African continent.
