Two persons sustained injuries yesterday after a heavy windstorm pulled down a giant billboard at Oregun, Lagos.
Those injured in the incident that occurred around 7 am included a motorist and a tricycle rider.
It was gathered that the billboard was split in two and covered both sides of the expressway, bringing vehicular movement to a halt.
While a part of it fell on the car and an electric pole, the other half affected the tricycle.
Confirming the incident, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said the injured persons were taken to the Accident and Emergency Trauma Centre, Alausa, adding that the road was subsequently cleared and opened for traffic.
