Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari has reportedly out of Nigeria for over 2 months owing to the recent turn of events in the country.
Daily Trust reported that different sources in Aso Rock Villa said that the First Lady who left in the early part of August to Saudi Arabia for a Muslim Pilgrimage hasn’t returned despite the fact that others who went for the same have since come back.
Sources say that Aisha made straight for London from Saudi Arabia. One of such sources stated: “Mama (First Lady) is in London. It was from Saudi Arabia that she went to London.”
When she was asked when the wife of the President was likely to return, the source said: “I don’t know. All I know is that she is in London.”
Aisha Buhari’s absence at the Eid-El-Kabir celebration in Daura, Katsina State was noted and her not being seen alongside her husband in recent public functions has raised eyebrows.
She has been represented at public events by Dr. Hajo Sani, her Senior Special Assistant on Administration.
