Nigerian music star Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman aka Oxlade has narrated the career-related advice he got from his mentor Wizkid, which has helped him so far.
Speaking in an interview on Kiss FM UK, Oxlade who acknowledged that he shares the same Surulere neighborhood with Wizkid disclosed that the afrobeat star advised him to observe his style of music, take some things from it, add to his brand and build his own story.
He also revealed that the “Starboy” crooner does not want him to make the same mistakes he made.
Oxlade further averred that Wizkid and other musicians opened up doors for younger afrobeat artists to fly.
Commenting on their recent performance at the 21,000-capacity Accor arena in Paris, France, the singer revealed that he just had fun on stage with Wizkid.
