Nigerian music star Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known by his stage name Terry G, has become a trending topic on Twitter, as users debate why the singer became irrelevant in the music industry.
The debate about the singer came to life as some music lovers begged the question as to why his career suddenly went down the drain and made him almost irrelevant in the music industry.
Terry G had been a huge rave of the moment back in 2006 when he busted into the limelight with his infectious tunes Free Madness and his much-loved collaboration with colleague AY Dotcom on Pass Me Your love.
Apparently, over the years, his music struggled to gain relevance in the minds of a teeming music audience that now has the choice of variety.
Tabling his matter on Twitter, users on the platform who were familiar with his glory days came forward with their individual reasons as to why a one-time raving star now struggles to get people swaying to his songs.
A user identified as onos_147 had shared a video clip that captured the moment Terry G, assaulted a protégé of veteran entertainer DJ Jimmy Jatt, at a public event.
According to him, the incidence marked a pivotal moment in the downfall of Terry G’s music career.

Just look at how some Nigerians are insulting #Terry_G just because of few artistes who are currently occupying the industry, forgetting that most of them have not create half of the impact he created in the industry despite the fact that he never have this..
