President Bola Tinubu has withdrawn the nomination of Maryam Shetty as a minister.
The president communicated his decision to the Senate as screening of ministerial nominees resumed on Friday.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, formally read the letter from President Tinubu, citing the withdrawal of Maryam Shetty’s nomination. Shetty, who was a nominee from Kano state, has now been replaced by Maigari Mahmud, another prominent figure from the same state.
