Baboons are known to attack humans

A Kenyan driver named Dickson Maina narrowly escaped the jaws of death after an encounter with a vicious baboon.

Reacting to screams he heard emanating from the balcony, Maina went to check what was going on and looking above him, glimpsed a baboon sitting comfortably on the rooftop.

In the viral video which can be seen Twitter, the rampaging primate descends on the man who is left with no choice but to make a leap from the four-storey building.

Maina landed on a wall made of iron sheets and he cut a finger, bruised his face, and broke his hand.

Dickson Maina was lucky to survive the jump and sustained injuries

The iron sheet cut my finger, and from the jump, I also broke my arm and my face also sustained serious injuries”, he said to the Standard.

Speaking further, Maina added:

The crowd that was chasing the animal away came to my rescue after the saw me fall and rushed me to the hospital. If possible, I would like to be compensated for this because I will have to wait for my hand to heal before I can do anything.”

The victim also mentioned that a doctor told him that his injuries were not grave and that they would heal in time.
