Tallulah Willis, daughter of Hollywood actors Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, recently disclosed her secret separation from fiancé Dillon Buss in June 2022. In a heartfelt essay for Vogue, published on May 31, Tallulah candidly discussed her mental health struggles, including an anorexia nervosa diagnosis three years prior to the breakup.

In Spring 2022, Tallulah grappled with severe health issues due to her eating disorder, at one point weighing as little as 84 pounds. Fearful of exhaustion, she refrained from walks in her Los Angeles neighborhood and regularly required mobile IV services at her home.

Following her breakup with Dillon, Tallulah found support in her family, who organized her admission to Driftwood Recovery in Texas. She underwent treatment there until October, during which she was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, a condition that can disrupt emotional regulation and relationship stability.

Now, at 29, Tallulah asserts that she feels significantly better, recognizing, however, that her journey to recovery will likely be a lifelong commitment. Presently, her focus is primarily on her family, particularly her father, Bruce Willis, who is fighting dementia. Tallulah’s newfound strength enables her to provide her father with uplifting energy, and to be a dependable presence in his life, despite her own struggles.

Tallulah’s essay also reflected on her previous reluctance to discuss her anorexia. She revealed that, since becoming sober at 20, she viewed food restriction as her “last vice.” This behavior escalated when she was diagnosed with ADHD at 25 and began taking appetite-suppressing medications.

Tallulah and Dillon announced their engagement in May 2021, a year before their private split. Prior to their engagement, Dillon had spent the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown period with Tallulah and her family, including her mother, Demi Moore, and stepmother, Emma Heming.
