Sowore: FG Set To Punish Judge For Granting Activist Bail

News sources indicate that the Federal Government is planning to report Justice Taiwo Taiwo to the National Judicial Council (NJC) over his granting bail to the embattled convener of the #RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore.

Justice Taiwo at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday had dismissed the appeal by the Department of State Security (DSS) to detain Sowore further and had granted him bail.

It was gathered that a Nigerian security outfit had convened over the issue yesterday and decided to appeal the Judge’s decision.

A government source speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that anyone facing trial for treasonable felony was not entitled to bail.

Sowore’s bail is likely to bring trouble for that Judge. A report has been prepared to report him to NJC in view of the fact that, as far as this country, it is known that a person charged for treasonable felony has no bail option.  Government Source – thenationonlineng.net
