According to a recent news report, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the National leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the party’s Presidential candidate for the 2023 election, has accused Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s administration in Kano state of engaging in corrupt practices. Kwankwaso alleged that the current administration sold public properties, including graveyards and schools.

During an interview with the BBC Hausa Service on Friday, Kwankwaso, who is a former Nigeria Minister of Defence and two-term Governor of Kano state in Northwest Nigeria, stated that the current administration’s actions were fraudulent. He also reassured the people of Kano that the incoming administration of NNPP’s Governor-elect, Abba Kabir Yusuf, would address the wrongs allegedly committed by the Ganduje administration, bringing much-needed relief to the people of Kano.

Furthermore, Kwankwaso referred to a tape where the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate and former Deputy Governor Gawuna conceded defeat and congratulated the NNPP’s Governor-elect.

As the leader of the red cap Kwankwasiya movement, Kwankwaso has promised not to interfere in the incoming administration of Abba Yusuf. However, he emphasized that as a responsible citizen and indigene of the state, it is his duty to offer guidance and advice where necessary.
