Policemen in Anambra State have revealed the identity of the man who was arrested for attempting to cut off the br**st of a 29-year-old woman.
41-year-old Ogbonna Nwankwo tried to commit the act on September 2, 2020, at the Dollar Inn Motel, Ihite in Orumba South Local Government Area.
He was apprehended for the attempted murder of the lady named Bella Joseph.
It was revealed that Ogbonna had first stabbed the victim in the stomach with a knife. Assuming she was dead, he tried to cut off her right br**st with the same knife, probably for ritual purposes.
But the woman unexpectedly yelled and it attracted the attention of the hotel manager, leading to a call to the police operatives from Umunze Division.
A visit to the scene of the crime saw the woman in critical condition and she was rushed to a Specialist hospital in Nnewi for treatment.
The suspect was beaten severely to stupor by the mob and arrested by the police.
