Over 100 people, including 25 minors, are preparing to take legal action against US rap star Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of rape, sexual assault, and exploitation, a lawyer revealed on Tuesday.

Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee announced that 120 individuals are set to file a civil lawsuit against the Grammy Award-winning artist. Buzbee described the allegations as a long-standing “secret” in the entertainment industry that has now been brought to light.

“The wall of silence has now been broken, and victims are coming forward,” Buzbee stated during a press conference in Houston, adding that over 3,000 people have reported abuse by Combs or his entourage.

The rapper, who has faced previous accusations of violence and abuse, was indicted last month on three criminal charges, including the sexual abuse of women at drug-fueled parties. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and remains in jail awaiting trial.

Allegations against Combs began gaining momentum last year after singer Cassie, born Casandra Ventura, accused him of more than a decade of physical and sexual coercion. This includes a 2018 rape, which has since led to multiple lawsuits detailing similar claims of abuse and violence.

Buzbee shared that much of the abuse followed a distinct pattern, with many victims reporting they were drugged. “One individual, 22 years old at the time, said she was handed a drink laced with something. When she refused, she was kicked out of the party,” the lawyer explained. He also described the repeated rape of teenagers by Combs and his associates, many of whom were promised opportunities in the music industry.

One particularly disturbing case involves a nine-year-old boy who was taken to New York for an audition at Bad Boy Records, where he was allegedly sexually assaulted by Combs and others. Another case detailed the rape of a 15-year-old girl after being flown to New York for a party.

Despite the gravity of these accusations, Buzbee commended the bravery of those who have come forward, acknowledging the potential for retaliation. “We know what we are potentially up against… when a celebrity is involved, people can be downright mean and nasty,” he said.
