Ronke Oshodi-Oke: Actress Says She Can't Cook As The Breadwinner Of The Family

Nollywood Yoruba actress, Ronke Ojo, popularly known as Ronke Oshodi-Oke who recently celebrated her 8th wedding anniversary, has opened up about marriage, love, mistakes and more in a new explosive chat with Broadway TV.

She is one of those few scandal-free celebrities. The not-so-controversial actress, if ever at all, has been in the industry for almost 20 years making her a sought after actress in the Yoruba Movie industry.

Talented and hardworking, Ronke has been able to carve a niche for herself in both drama and comedy world of Nollywood.

Having featured in several movies in both Yoruba and English sector, Ronke Ojo is one of the fan’s favourite.

However, in her Interview with BroadwayTV, the actress weighed in on the cause of many celebrity marriages going down the hill and she had a lot to say.

According to her, things can’t work out if the responsibilities of a home lie heavily on one person.

She stated that if she provides for the needs of the family or takes up the role of the breadwinner then there is no way she’s cooking for any man.

It can’t work, I am going to pay the NEPA bill, drop the cash for feeding, pay school fees, I’ll do some certain things if you don’t have and you now come and expect me to cook for you? It’s not going to work, it is not just going to work.

But if you are a man and you are doing everything, absolutely everything, you drop the cash for school fees, feeding fee and you give everything then what else does the woman want? That is when a man can have total control of his wife but if the man does 40% while the woman 60% or vice versa, it’s not going to work.

However, she further stated that there are some rude ladies out there just as well; There are some really rude ladies out there that even though they have 5naira they would make their husband believe they have 20naira and when that 5naira stops things go bad.

Ronke who didn’t further her education after her Secondary School Leaving Certificate shared that she has no regrets and would still further if she has the chance.
