Ritualists' Den Uncovered In Obadeyi Ajala Area Of Lagos

A suspected ritualist has been nabbed broad-light at Obadeyi Ajala area of Lagos-Abeokuta expressway. There has resulted in slow movement of traffic from Abule-Egba down to Agbado Ijaye, Toll gate and Sango Otta as onlookers and mob had taken over the vicinity of the incident.

According to reports made available to TalkGlitz, a passerby had heard female’s voice in early hours of Tuesday, August 8, crying for help. After noticing the cry was coming from the underground where the canal is linked at Obadeyi bus stop, Ijaiye Ojokoro, she had to call on others.

The police found their way to the scene at about 8.30 am. One of the eyewitnesses who spoke to TalkGlitz Media, claimed two suspects were involved. According to the eyewitness’s account, they were able to uncover the hiding place where the suspects carried out their evil acts with the aid of soldiers who evaded the secluded territory.

By 10.00am, the crowd had already tripled. Onlookers from Agege, Sango, Ifo had arrived Obadeyi area in Ojokoro to witness the incident.

It took several hours to dig out the den where the suspects had hidden their victims. About two persons were rescued and taken to the hospital as they appeared unconscious.

One unexplainable thing that happened in the cause of the incident was an account of how the mob tried to lynch the suspects but failed. TalkGlitz had gathered that the crowd set ablaze one of the suspects but surprisingly to them, fire was burning all over his clothes but he appeared unhurt.

“The guy said there is nothing they can do to harm him. Even some tried cutting him with machetes and all sorts of weapons but he wasn’t still hurt”, the witness said.

From all information gathered, one of the suspects got burnt alive by the angry mob before the soldiers could deliver them. Another suspect they tried to burn alive was saved by his self-acclaimed ‘juju’

UPDATED [4:30PM]: Men of the Police Force have taken over the ritual den sending sniffer dogs to dig out more likely victims or culprits in the hideout. Two arrests have been made so far as investigation is still ongoing. The rescuers claimed they already burnt two of the suspects while another two were taken away by the police.

However, the woman is distress, whose cry raised the alarm is yet to be rescued. Residents are still digging into the nooks and crannies of the vicinity for her whereabout. A recent video indicates the woman must have been discovered.
