Pop sensation Rihanna has confirmed that she is indeed pregnant, following her electrifying Super Bowl halftime show. The representative for the superstar confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter, much to the delight of her fans.
The show, which took place at the State Farm Arena in Glendale, Arizona, saw Rihanna take the stage to perform some of her biggest hits, including “We Found Love,” “Where Have You Been,” “Diamonds” and “Work.” During the performance, Rihanna hinted at her pregnancy, sparking social media buzz and excitement among her fans.
Rihanna and rapper A$AP Rocky are already the proud parents of a 9-month-old boy. Ahead of the Super Bowl, Rihanna revealed that motherhood inspired her to take on the challenge of performing on one of the biggest stages in the world.
“When you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world,” she said.
“And the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, so as scary as that was… there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all.”
Putting together a 13-minute setlist that would represent her 18-year catalog was a major challenge for the singer, but she believes that the final product was a celebration of her work and a testament to her resilience and strength as a mother. “It’s important for my son to see that,” she said.
