#RevolutionNow: "I've Refused Meals" - Sowore Speaks From DSS Detention

Members of the Take It Back Movement were allowed to visit Omoyele Sowore, the AAC former presidential candidate, who was arrested in the early hours of last Saturday, the 3rd of August.

The visit, which occurred at 6pm yesterday, the 6th of August, saw the members meet Sowore in high spirits, undeterred by the events of the past few days.

Sowore, who had refused all meals since his detention, accepted the food that the officers allowed the members to bring to him. Subsequently, Take It Back members will be allowed to bring him food daily.

The human rights activist was happy to hear that the #RevolutionNow protests he called for still took place despite his absence but was dismayed about the arrest of protesters. He joined his voice to that of others clamouring for their release.

Sowore, aware that a lot people are worried about his well-being, assured everyone that he was fine and being treated well.

SaharaReporters has also released a CCTV footage of how Sowore was arrested in Lagos by the men of the DSS.
