Reno Omokri, a former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has accused President-elect Bola Tinubu of deceiving Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, into contesting the election in order to reduce opposition votes.
According to Omokri, Obi had no chance of winning the election due to his lack of national support but could divide the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) votes. Omokri claimed that Tinubu used his trusted business partners to deceive Obi into joining the presidential race.
He further stated that Tinubu displayed a mastery of understanding the mentality of the Obidients who lacked the humility to see that they were being played. Omokri also alleged that the APC is using a similar strategy in places like Kaduna, funding the Labour gubernatorial campaign to emotionally divide PDP’s votes. Omokri shared his views on social media.
