Popular American NBA star Rajon Rondo is in hot water as he has been reported by his former partner and mother of his children for allegedly pulling a gun on her during an altercation that many would view as a misunderstanding. The 36-year-old Ashley Bachelor was granted an Emergency Protection Order by a local judge in Louisville after reporting what happened on May 11.
Ashley Bachelor reports that Rajon was playing a video game with their son, Pierre when she asked the little boy to sort out the laundry. Upon hearing this, Rondo flew into a rage and began cursing and using abusive language in front of his son and daughter which made Ms. Bachelor terrified. It did not end there. Rondo detached the video game console from its fixed point on the wall and hurled it in a fit of anger.
This frightened the children whom the mother was trying to take away from such a scene. When she tried to calm him down, she said he told her ”You’re dead”. This caused her to be very scared and so she decided to handle the situation very carefully. Rondo left the house but soon returned brandishing his gun and kept repeating his death threats to Bachelor.
He kept hitting the back door with his gun and Ashley Bachelor decided to look through the peephole to see. She saw him wielding his gun and threatening her saying ”Bring out my f*****g son ”. She tried to talk to him to think straight but he was unnerved. She then brought down Pierre through the front door but made sure the back door was closed.
She reports he kept calling her many abusive and insular names during the whole fracas but she confirmed her son was not hurt, albeit his father manhandled him in a manner of speaking. A local judge in Louisville has ordered Rondo to stay no less than 500 metres from his children and their mother until further notice.
In her statement, Ashley Bachelor was very frightened and dejected. ” I am extremely fearful for my safety and the safety of my children. Rajon has a history of volatile, erratic, and explosive behavior. He is verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive. He often hits our son and calls him names like py, and accuses him of acting like a bh. Rajon verbally insults our daughter. He calls her names like thot, bh, and dhead. He has made several threats to my life, saying he’ll shoot me or shoot up my car.”
All these allegations leveled against Rajon Rondo, the 2x NBA Champion, and 4x All-Star is yet to release a statement concerning these issues. Rondo has never been arrested for any offence and it happens that he is clean with the law.
