As protests continue to spread across various parts of Ibadan, commercial banks and business outlets have been shut down and secured.
The protest, which began in the early hours of the day, has now spread to areas including New garage, Orita, Challenge, and Molete. In response, banks, filling stations, and other financial institutions in these locations have closed their doors to customers.
The impact of the protests has also caused major roads in the affected areas to be blocked by the demonstrators, turning them into makeshift soccer fields. As a result, motorists and commuters are experiencing difficulty navigating through these areas.
