President Buhari Capitalized On BBNaija Distraction To Increase Price Of Fuel & Electricity – Reno Omokri
Reno Omokri says President Buhari’s initial plan was to increase the price of fuel and electricity in October

Reno Omokri has said that President Muhammadu Buhari was emboldened by the distraction of BBNaija to increase the price of fuel and electricity in the country.

The lawyer and writer made the statement on his Instagram page, stating how surprised he was by the youths organizing a fundraiser for a disqualified BBNaija housemate.

Mr. Omokri revealed that he was told by his informants in Aso Rock that President Buhari was afraid of increasing the prices of fuel and electricity on the same day but was emboldened when he saw how distracted Nigerians were by BBNaija.

He said the initial plan was to increase the prices in October, after President Buhari’s Independence Day speech, adding that his advisers told the president that the reality show would have rounded up by then.

Mr. Omokri’s words:

“I was stunned to see Nigerian youths organise a fundraiser for a disqualified #BBNaija housemate. I was informed by my informants in Aso Rock that General Buhari was actually afraid of increasing the prices of fuel and electric on the same day. What emboldened him was when he saw how BBN has completely distracted Nigeria’s youth! The initial plan was to increase the price of fuel and electric in October, after his Independence Day speech. But his advisers told him that by that time Big Brother would have rounded up. One adviser’s exact words were ‘their brains will be on mute until after Big Brother’. That is why he increased them ahead of plan and did both on the same day. And his plan has worked perfectly!”
