Content Creator Salo Shot in the Leg, Gold Chain Stolen During Lekki Robbery, Now in Critical Condition
TikTok content creator, Ojesanmi Afeez, widely known as Salo, was reportedly attacked and shot in the Lekki area of Lagos State, leaving him in critical condition. The incident, which occurred late Thursday, involved a robbery where Salo’s gold chain was stolen, and he sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.
The news of the attack was first revealed by fellow TikToker, Tunde Perry, who often collaborates with Salo during live sessions on the platform. Perry took to social media to inform fans about the situation, stating that Salo was rushed to Perez Medcare Hospital, located in Lekki Phase 2, after the incident.
“They have shot Salo in the leg. They have also stolen his gold chain at one filling station in Lekki. Some boys just rushed him to the hospital and I have gone there now,” Perry shared.
A video currently trending online shows Salo’s white AMG GLE 43 Mercedes Benz covered in bloodstains. A bullet casing was also spotted on the driver’s seat of the car, indicating the severity of the attack.
An eyewitness who chose to remain anonymous confirmed that Salo’s condition is extremely serious. “When I got to the hospital, I wasn’t allowed inside. The nurse told us to keep praying for him because his condition is critical,” the source said. The eyewitness added, “We don’t know who he might have offended, and perhaps he doesn’t either. You can’t outsmart those watching you. I just hope he’s more cautious if he survives this.”

In a video recorded shortly before the attack, Salo was seen pleading with his manager, Sula, for security assistance. “Sula, please provide me with security. I ought to have had it by now. Help me with one mopol, Sula, my daddy,” Salo was heard saying.
Prior to the attack, Salo was involved in a dispute with another TikTok star, Tobi Nation, after the latter acquired a new home. Salo claimed he had connected Tobi Nation to the agent responsible for selling the property, a claim which Tobi Nation refuted. Despite the disagreement, Tobi Nation expressed sadness over the incident, stating that he attempted to visit Salo at the hospital but was not allowed entry.
Reacting to the shooting, Lagos State Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident during a phone conversation on Friday. “Salo was truly shot yesterday at Admiralty Way, Lekki. We have begun an investigation into the incident and I will provide further updates,” he said.
Salo remains hospitalized as fans and loved ones hope for his recovery while the police continue their investigation into the shocking attack.
