Peter Obi Heads to Court to Challenge Presidential Election Result

 

During a Labour Party stakeholders’ meeting in Awka, Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, reiterated his determination to reclaim what he claims to be his stolen mandate by exploring all possible means. The former governor of Anambra State has vowed to pursue all legal options to recover his mandate.

Peter Obi came third in the February 25th presidential election, with President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winning the election, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) coming in second.

Since the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Tinubu as the winner of the election, Peter Obi has insisted that he won the election and has headed to court to challenge the result. During the meeting, he interacted with Anambra State Labour Party Stakeholders, and they discussed the future of the party.

Peter Obi assured the stakeholders of his commitment to explore every available legal option to ensure that he gets his mandate back. He also thanked them for their support and assured them of his support. He tweeted about the meeting, saying that it was constructive and that he appreciated their support so far.
