Pastor Adeboye expresses confidence in President-elect Tinubu with God's help
Adeboye urges Nigerians to pray for incoming government under Tinubu’s leadership

In a recent news report, it was stated that the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, expressed his confidence in the President-elect of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to lead the country with God’s help. The statement was made at the monthly thanksgiving service at the RCCG Headquarters in Ebute-Metta, where Adeboye’s Special Assistant, Pastor Dele Balogun, represented him.

During the service, Pastor Adeboye called on Nigerians to pray for the incoming government, urging Tinubu to fulfill the people’s aspirations for a new and prosperous Nigeria. He expressed optimism in Tinubu’s ability to fix the country and make it a better place for its citizens. He said, “Thank God the President-elect has promised to fix Nigeria. If God helps him, Nigeria will prosper in his hands.”

The President-elect, Bola Tinubu, is scheduled to be inaugurated on May 29, taking over from the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari. It is hoped that his leadership will usher in a new era of progress and development for Nigeria.

It is worth noting that the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja recently dismissed a petition filed by the Action Alliance (AA) challenging the victory of Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The five-member panel, comprising Justices Haruna Simon Tsammani, Stephen Adah, Bolaji Yusuf, Moses Ugo, and Abba Mohammed, upheld the dismissal in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act.

The AA’s presidential candidate, David Okonigbuan, had brought the petition against INEC, APC, Bola Tinubu, and Hamza Al Mustapha, challenging his exclusion from the election. The party also fielded Al-Mustapha as the presidential candidate who was listed by INEC. However, two lawyers, Oba Maduabuchi (SAN) and Malachy Nwaekpe Esq, announced their appearances for the AA, claiming to have been instructed by different factions of the political parties to withdraw the petition. The respondents in the matter did not object to the withdrawal of the petition.

In conclusion, the statement made by Pastor Adeboye, while expressing optimism about Tinubu’s leadership, calls for prayer and support for the incoming government. It is hoped that Tinubu’s administration will bring positive change and development to Nigeria. The recent dismissal of the petition challenging his victory is a positive development and a step towards a peaceful and stable political environment in the country.
