OnePlus Nord Launch: China’s Mid-Range Smartphones Coming In July 2020
The OnePlus Nord has amazing specifications for a mid-range smartphone

We are only a few weeks away from the official launch of the most hyped mid-range smartphones in recent memory, and there is a good reason why many are looking forward to the release of the OnePlus Nord.

Initially rumored to be the OnePlus 8 Lite and later the OnePlus Nord Z, the OnePlus Nord is a new line of smartphones from the Chinese company hoping to fill in the gaps left by OnePlus’ flagship smartphones which have become expensive with each new iteration.

The OnePlus Nord marks the return of OnePlus to the non-flagship smartphone category, years after the OnePlus X was launched in 2015. It is scheduled to be released in India on July 21, 2020.

Branded as an ‘affordable premium’ smartphone, the OnePlus Nord’s price is set to be a major selling point and the company previously confirmed that it will be sold at $500.

OnePlus Nord Specifications

Despite its ‘affordable premium’ smartphone branding, the OnePlus Nord could very well be the apex of mid-range smartphones.

It is confirmed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset, which comes with 5G support. It has up to 12GB of RAM (something that is only available in flagship-grade smartphones).

Apart from the above, the OnePlus Nord also sports a 90Hz AMOLED display, which is another feature that is rarely found in its category.

The OnePlus Nord will have six cameras – four on the back and two at the front.

On the back, the Nord will sport a 48MP primary camera. Its other cameras include an ultrawide angle snapper, a depth, and a macro sensor.

On the front, the two cameras have been revealed to use artificial intelligence (AI) to improve low-light shots.

Judging by the specs, the OnePlus Nord looks to be a really interesting phone and a must-have for those who want the best for less.
