Popular indigenous rapper Olamide has revealed the most embarrassing moment of his life, which left him both angry and ashamed. According to The Nation, the incident happened many years ago when he was working under his boss and producer, ID Cabasa.
As Olamide recalled, he was in the studio when a senior artist came in to record a song and asked him to buy food. As the youngest in the studio, he was tasked with the errand, but the money he was given was not enough to buy the artist’s meal. He decided to add his own money and even paid for transportation. However, upon returning to the studio with the food, the senior artist accused him of stealing his money and demanded his change.
“I almost got angry, but one look from ID Cabasa calmed me down,” Olamide said. “Today, the guy is one of my biggest fans, and he is planning to do a song with me.”
This incident happened before Olamide rose to fame with his hit song “Eniduro” and went on to become one of the most successful rappers in Nigeria. He has over a decade of experience in the music industry and has won numerous awards. He has also collaborated with several international artists, including Wale and Skepta.
This story highlights the importance of resilience and the need to overcome difficult situations in life. Olamide’s success story has inspired many young people in Nigeria and across Africa, proving that with hard work and perseverance, one can achieve great things.
