Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has revealed how why he held a lavish burial ceremony for his mom the last weekend that turned out as the talk of the entire nation.
The business tycoon in an exclusive interview with BBC Pidgin reviewed by TalkGlitz said he had promised his mother that her 80th birthday would be a fabulous one but unfortunately, she passed on before 80.
According to Cubana, they intended to hold a carnival for her mother’s supposed birthday before she died.
“Since she’d died before 80, what then are we going to do? How else can she be celebrated?” Obi Cubana asked figuratively.
“We took all the efforts, energy and all the resources on the burial, that was why it turned out to be the talk-of-town”.
Obi Cubana went further to say he lost his father earlier and his mother had played both roles perfectly well. So he had to combine all the love and bestowed it to his mom.
For days, Obi Cubana has been a social media sensation and the rave of the moment, especially with the ‘naira rain’ at his mother’s burial in Oba, a town in the Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
