Obadiah Mailaifa Summoned By DSS For Third Time, Says His Life Is In Danger
Obadiah Mailaifa says he is being interrogated by both the DSS and the police

Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Obadiah Mailaifa, has been summoned by the Department of State Services (DSS) for the third time.

Since he disclosed that an unnamed northern governor is the commander of the terrorist group, Boko Haram, Mailaifa has been faced with interrogations several times.

On August 12, 2020, he was invited by the DSS to their office in Jos, after which he was summoned again five days later over his refusal to back down on his claims.

However, Mailaifa later withdrew his comments, saying that he got the information from a third party.

Now, he has been invited yet again and while telling pressmen about the development, he stated that the DSS didn’t reveal the reason for the invitation.

In a phone conversation with The Nation, Mailaifa stated that it was unfortunate that he is being prodded by the DSS and the police at the same time.

He said:

“This is one of the reasons why I am in court. I am being invited by the DSS and the police at the same time. It is an abuse of my rights,” he said.

Please, pray for me. I have reasons to believe that my life is in danger and that some powerful political forces want to silence me forever for speaking the truth.

For speaking on behalf of the Holy Martyrs — of thousands of innocent children, women, elderly and youths that have been killed in our beloved country,”

A graduate of Theatre Arts who is also a scriptwriter, editor, director, and movie critic.
