Nollywood actress Seun Osigbesan, who portrays Jenifa in the popular television series, ‘The Johnsons’, has not yet recovered from learning of the tragic passing of her on-screen mother.
Ada Ameh, who portrayed Jenifa’s mother Emuakpo Johnson in the aforementioned television program, collapsed and passed away on Sunday, July 17, in Delta State.
Seun Osigbesan wrote a moving ode to Ameh on her verified Instagram profile as she lamented the tragic circumstances surrounding her passing.
She wrote, “The little strength you had left failed when Aladi passed
You wished you died in place of Aladi
The pain from losing your siblings and only child subjected you to abject depression & sorrow
Life didn’t mean anything to you anymore
You thought God was mean to you
You thought your life purpose had disappeared
I might not know all of your pains but I knew some of them maama
I knew it was tough for you but I thought you would pull through
I never saw your death coming
You were so full of life and unreasonably generous
You could never hold a grudge
You would apologize if you had to
You were tough, yet soft
You scolded me when I was wrong
You were not afraid to always say your truth
Oh….maama your death is such a painful one, a shock, a dream we are yet to wake up from.
The impact of your death on us is as heavy as the impact of the death of 10 people all together!
We miss you maama
This is so unbelievable
Rest well my maama
Not easy to say goodbye to you.”
