The veteran actor, who was renowned for his remarkable portrayal of regal characters, passed away in his sleep last night.

The news was confirmed by Mr. Mayor Ofoegbu, a prominent movie director in Nollywood, who expressed his grief on his Facebook page.

Sharing his condolences, Ofoegbu wrote, “Plan for tomorrow but live for today. Tomorrow is not guaranteed.”

Alongside this poignant quote, he expressed his sadness over the loss of his dear friend Don Brymo, who often portrayed the role of an Igwe (king) in movies.

The post soon attracted an outpouring of sympathy from fans, friends, and colleagues within the industry.

In a heart-wrenching caption, Ofoegbu revealed, “I wrote those lines on my WhatsApp status yesterday evening. My man, my 5 & 6, Don Brymo Uchegbu, passed in his sleep. I received the shocking news this morning and had to verify with his family. Chai! Don Brymo, my manchi. It’s hard to say goodbye. Nnukwu nwa na Enugu ukwu.”

Born in 1966 in Anambra State, Don Brymo officially entered the Nigerian film industry in the year 2000 and quickly made a name for himself through his exceptional talent and dedication to his craft.

Throughout his illustrious career, he graced the screens with his remarkable performances in numerous movies, capturing the hearts of audiences across the nation.

The loss of Don Brymo Uchegbu is not only a personal tragedy for his family and close associates but also a great loss to the Nigerian entertainment industry.
