This statement comes as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) are challenging Tinubu’s victory in the presidential election tribunal.

Speaking on Tuesday in Abakaliki, Umahi stated that God allowed Tinubu to win the presidential election and that the All Progressives Congress (APC) party had earned its victory at the polls.

He criticized the trend of extreme politics in the country, stating that it should be de-emphasized to move Nigeria forward.

The Governor also called on Nigerians to embrace peace and unity, saying that divisive politics will only hamper the nation’s progress. He emphasized the need for all Nigerians to work together towards building a better future for the country.

“APC as a party merited all it got at the polls. When people say they are going to court or going to tribunal, I just laugh because there is no power or force that can remove Tinubu from being the president of Nigeria, the governor said.

“This is because the time God would have stopped him, God allowed him. Because God allowed him, no man could stop him.

“And this extreme politics should be de-emphasized in Nigeria, so we can move forward for a better Nigeria.”

Umahi’s comments come as the nation awaits the outcome of the presidential election tribunal, which will determine if Tinubu’s victory will stand.

The APC party has expressed confidence in the tribunal’s ability to deliver a fair ruling, while the PDP and LP have vowed to fight to the end.

Despite the legal challenges, Tinubu’s supporters remain optimistic that he will be inaugurated as the next President of Nigeria, following his victory in the presidential election.
