Naira Marley may soon be ruing the day he was born as his trial which kicked off today saw those present witness some shocking evidence of internet fraud discovered in the artist’s laptop.
The case started with the calling of EFCC’s first prosecution witness, Mr. Nuhu Buhari, who told the court that stolen credit card details were retrieved from Naira Marley’s laptop.
Information from the history of sites visited on the laptop also showed that they involved the buying and selling of stolen credit card information. It was also revealed that stolen credit cards information that allows transactions of up to $12,000 without a pin or physical card was found in a file in the personal computer.
Two apps that gave the owner of the laptop the enablement to deny the server of any bank information on his identity, location and IP address were also found.
Further investigation confirmed that the administrator account in the laptop was Naira Marley’s, with the account connected to his iCloud account.
The case was adjourned by the presiding Judge, Nicholas Oweibo so that the witness could be cross-examined and the trial continued.
