N2.5 Billion Spent On BBNaija Could Have Empowered 1000 Youths – Reno Omokri
Reno Omokri tackles the Nigerian public for investing in BBNaija amid the economic recession

Mr. Reno Omokri has once again tackled the Nigerian public for investing so much on reality TV show BBNaija.

The lawyer, writer, and speaker posted on Instagram, slamming investors of the show for doing so while the nation’s economy suffers from the recession due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He said such an act has contributed to the reason Nigeria is the world headquarters of extreme poverty.

Mr. Omokri further said that Nigerians fund young slay queens “to have public romps with young studs for the delight of our youths”, adding that the N2.5 billion spent on the house could have been enough to empower 1000 youths.

His words:

It cost ₦2.5 BILLION to build the 2020 #BBNaija house. Our economy is in recession because of #COVID19, and this is what we invest in. And you wonder why Nigeria is the world headquarters for extreme poverty? As a nation, we do not have a scheme to fund young entrepreneurs. Yet, we can fund young slay queens to have public romps with young studs for the delight of our youths. No wonder our population is the only thing that is growing in Nigeria. The ₦2.5 billion could have empowered 1000 youths with seed capital of ₦2.5 million to start a business. But who needs business in Nigeria when you can look at big buttocks?”
