Following Jada Pinkett Smith’s denial of her alleged affair with artist August Alsina, the artist has responded by standing by his “truth”.
August took to social media to where he insisted that what he had earlier was the truth.
He wrote in part:
I get it; not only do I get it but I’m also sorry you feel that way, BUT, The only attack here is against the invisible walls of silent societal construct and ‘code’ we place upon each other & upon ourselves hidden behind the desires of others approval & acceptance.”
He also added that he thinks truth and transparency make us uncomfortable stated that he couldn’t apologize for it.
“My truth is my truth, and it’s mine to own. There is no right or wrong here, it simply IS”, the artist shared.
Jada Pinkett Smith hasn’t responded to August’s latest remarks but had hinted on this past Thursday that she would be addressing the matter in the future.
“There’s some healing that needs to happen…”, she had said. “So I’m bringing myself to The Red Table.”
