MTN Nigeria is set to increase its data tariff just when we thought we paying too much for internet. This development according to the network provider was influenced by Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, The independent regulatory body for the Nigerian telecommunications industry reportedly gave a restriction in data tariff that doesn’t allow any provider to exceed even in campaign or any promotional offer.
MTN has sent a message to all customers indicating that this will take effect from December 1.
The message reads:
Dear customer, please be informed that from 1st Dec, some MTN Data tarriffs will be increased to reflect the new rates set by NCC to operators
The question is: Who is doing us, MTN or NCC?
